The Franciscans, Deauville - until September 21, 2025
This summer, dive into the fascinating world of the ocean through the exhibition Deep blue - The ocean revealed.
Betweenart, science and imagination, the journey takes you from the first marine explorations to the major contemporary ecological issues. Among the works presented:
- dream worlds of Odilon Redon,
- visionary scaphandres inspired by Jules Verne,
- the striking installations of the collective Niceaunties,
- and underwater village designed in 1973 by the oceanographer architect Jacques Rougerie, poetic and daring manifesto of a habitat in symbiosis with the ocean.
A true aesthetic and committed experience, the exhibition questions our fascination with abysses, our thirst for discoveries and the urgency of preserving the living.
